Wall volume (m³) = length × height × thickness, all converted to metres
Bricks = wall volume × 500 (standard 190 × 90 × 90 mm brick with 10 mm mortar joints)
Mortar volume ≈ 30 percent of wall volume, taken at a 1 : 6 cement–sand ratio
Example: A 20 ft × 10 ft wall, 9 inches thick, is about 4.25 m³ — roughly 2,125 bricks with about 5 bags of cement and 1.4 m³ of sand for mortar.
